First English Lutheran Church offers a comprehensive Christian day school (CDS) program that is lovingly ministered by Interim Director Terry Bianchi and her talented staff of 16, and is made up of over 100 V.I.C.'s (Very Important Children)! FELC has been providing Christian day school services to the Mansfield/Richland County area for over 25 years, with a caring and dedicated team of teachers and aids that can claim over 75 years of combined experience.

First English Lutheran Christian Day School is a state licensed Christian learning center with a high quality early childhood program, providing a safe and nurturing environment that promotes the spiritual, emotional, physical, creative and cognitive development of the young child with weekly chapel talks, Bible stories and music instruction. Our pre-school program is for children 3-5 years old. Our day care program is for children from 6 weeks to 12 years old and offers a before and after school program for school age children. A summer day camp is also provided for children 5 to 12 years old.

Where is FELC Christian Day School?

First English Christian day school is located in Luther Hall, directly adjacent to the main church building at 55 Park Avenue West. There is parking located on the east side of the building where you will find the main entrance to the CDS. This parking area can be accessed from Park Avenue West. (See our floor plan map for more information). Our day school facilities are clean, safe and are made up of seven classrooms with approximately 8,000 square feet of teaching and activity area. We provide a convenient, secure and caring facility for your children.

First English CDS is licensed for operating between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. We can not legally care for your children after 5:30 p.m. Our pre-school hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., September through May. Our summer day camp operates from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. There are a number of programs available for pre-school, infant care, toddler care, child care (3-5 yr.) and school age (5-12 yr.) that are both full and part-time enrollments. We at First English Lutheran Church believe our day school program provides a loving, and learning Christian environment for your child. Religious education activities include Bible stories, weekly chapel talks with Pastor Larson, games and songs. Our activities also include weekly music sessions during the school year with our Director of Music, and a Christmas program for our day school families and church families in December.
