Take It To The LORD In Prayer
Have you ever come to church with a heavy heart? Yes, the sermon and the hymns may all minister, to you, but still something is missing. Good prayers, good liturgy, good corporate worship, ... BUT, it would still feel so good, to have someone pray just for you. In a time of need that personal touch from a brother or sister in Christ, becomes the touch of Jesus.
Starting in September, we will be beginning a new Intercessory Prayer Ministry at both of our 11:00 am Sunday Worship Services. (At this time, we are unable to start this ministry at our Saturday 5:00 pm Service or our 8:30 am Sunday Service because we do not have enough trained Intercessory Prayer Teams.) Members of our congregation who have faithfully completed a series of special training classes on Intercessory Prayer will be making up our new Intercessory Prayer Teams. Prayer Teams will consist of one man and one woman, so you can choose to have both Team members pray for you, or a man will pray with a man, or a woman will pray with a woman.
At the end of the Service, just before the benediction, the Pastor will announce that members of our Intercessory Prayer Team are available following the Service to meet with anyone who desires prayer. If you have a prayer need, following the closing hymn, simply come forward and they will be happy to pray with you.
God does not intend for us to carry life’s burdens alone. Whatever the need: your health, sleepless nights, financial concerns, job/school decisions, family needs, a desire to be filled anew with God’s Holy Spirit...we can take it to the LORD in prayer! Yes, we can pray all on our own, but sometimes
it is such a wonderful blessing to share that prayer burden, and then hear that brother or sister in Christ pray for us as we together come into the throne room of God’s heavenly glory and grace. Are we weak and heavy laden,
Cumbered with a load of care?
Precious Savior still our refuge -
Take it to the LORD in prayer...
