Early Learning Center

First English Lutheran Early Learning Center is a state-licensed Christian learning center with a high quality early childhood program. Our program is administered by our director, Angie Murphy, and her qualified staff. Our center is made to accommodate over 100 students ranging in age from 6 weeks to 12 years.

It is our mission to become a premier home away from home; providing a loving, nurturing, safe and educational environment for children. Our staff uses the Creative Curriculum which includes hands-on discoveries, art, chapel, Bible lessons, music, extra activities and monthly trips.

ELC is licensed for operation from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Our toddler program offers a developmentally appropriate and child-led learning experience. Our center offers Pre-Kindergarten for ages 3-5 years. Our Pre-K runs daily from 8:45 am to 12:00 pm.

Chapel services and music are held each Wednesday beginning at 9:15 am and small group music is held weekly on Tuesdays for each class.

Our learning center provides a loving, nurturing and academic Christian environment for your child. Our activities throughout the year include conferences / open house; a Thanksgiving feast; a Christmas program for our ELC families, as well as our church families; parades; graduation; end-of–the-year party and much more!

ELC is a 5 Star-rated center. Step Up to Quality is a voluntary quality rating system for ODJFS licensed child care programs. Step Up to Quality recognizes early care and education programs that exceed quality benchmarks over and above Ohio’s licensing standards. Our staff attends classes offered by the YWCA to further our knowledge and give us new perspectives on how to care for children.

ELC is closed for major holidays and occasionally throughout the year for professional development. Click here to see our scheduled days closed for this year.

We accept families funded through ODJFS.
